ROI vs Not advertising at all...






I have a client that is advertising with me right now as I type this. A 4 man crew is out in Elk Grove CA passing out business cards for one of my longest standing clients. I have done the same thing for her business 9 out of the 10 years I have been in business. That says a lot! For one it works. Two, I do a good job and since action speaks louder that words then her remaining my client for nearly a decade speaks volumes. 

She is not only my oldest client but she is the most frugal.  I figured that some type of envelope system was being used due to the odd check amounts. $298.83 + $301.17=$600 and to be honest I don't care if it was all in pennies lol. It was confirmed I was right. The money coming in was dispersed to several different areas and one of them being marketing/advertising.

Unless you can fill a moonshine jug with raisins from 25 yards or you have a knock out location that receives the majority of  business with little to know advertising ie walk-ins or internet then you need to market. Even Mc Donald's advertises statista.com  with door hangers. So there must be something to it. 

When the money comes in set some to the side to make more money come in. Regardless of your business model start up or existing how you get customers is a intricate part of business. So a budget is not just a set amount of money you have allotted for a certain thing or another. I can be money that hasn't even been earned yet. It takes nothing from what will be done with it when you do get it. So if you are not advertising start. If you don't have the money to start, then start setting it aside gradually as it comes in. Today's campaign Cost $650 ROI = Unknown. However, businesses that have memberships and reoccurring billing tend to have a higher ROI and yield over the lifetime of the client. In the end I would rather have half of something that all of nothing. Not advertising at all equals a whole lot of nothing for most businesses. Get creative and get in there.  Push on!
